The best plan is to diet & exercise but SOMETIMES pills can help. Personally, I work out five days a week and my stomach doesn’t get much flatter. I do cardio, circuit training and a variety of other exercises, some even specifically for my abs. I used to take a pill that helped my stomach but made me sick. Firm and Flatten Your Abs by David Grisaffi- this guy was the trainer of Tom Venuto

Both of these don’t recommend taking pills because all they do is reduce for a week or two and then your off too your regular bad habits unlike in these two books they have excersises to help develop good habits to help maintain that six pack or flat belly that you want.

Do fat burners really work?

There is no pill, regardless of their claims, that will reduce stomach fat. You need to increase the exercises that you do for the stomach, and also add some cardio. If you’re walking already, walk faster. To get rid of oblique fat, keep legs shoulder width apart, and do simple side bends……lots of them. Do your side bends one side at a time, 3 sets every other day. Start at 20 per side, see how it affects your body as far as soreness goes, increase repititions by 10 every week, and watch your oblique fat disappear. As far as the rest of your stomach, if you are able to run, then run. Your stomach will shake off fat as you run longer. Regular walking doesn’t do much for burning stomach fat, but speed walking does. Also, you need to do an exercise that works the whole stomach. Crunches do this, but you need to do them properly. If you’re doing a crunch and the small of your back comes off the ground, you’re going too far. Also, when coming down(this is called the negative), make sure you come down twice as slow as you raised. This process uses your body weight as resistance which aids in the building of the muscles in your stomach as well as burning fat in the stomach. While doing any weight lifting exercises, you need to keep your stomach tight. It is common to have a sore stomach when beginning a weight lifting program if you are doing upper body exercises, as long as you are executing your exercises properly.
I’m not against pills but remember, once your body metabolizes, you don’t need the pills any more. Be sure to include foods with natural fat burning properties and omega-3 rich foods. Grapefruit, flax seed, salmon, raw almonds or walnuts (just a handful) are all very good foods to incorporate into a weight loss plan. Good luck to all of you and I hope I’ve been helpful.
