USDA - Written out, the USDA stands for the United States Department of Agriculture. It is a Federal Executive Department. Its purpose is to develop and execute policy on farming, agriculture, and food.

LA Weight Loss - A company sort of like Curves, LA Weight Loss has locations worldwide including the US, Canada, Costa Rica, and Puerto-Rico. It is a center dedicated to weight loss through program specifics designed to produce a healthier lifestyle.

One of Controltrim’s biggest and boldest letters on its website claims that it was developed by the USDA. The USDA, as detailed above is a Federal Executive Department of the United States. Another agency of the US government is the FDA - Food and Drug Administration. The reason we mention the FDA is because if you look past the big bold letters of the website you will find the small print which states “These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.”

Now, it is not consistent to say that any product which is not evaluated by the FDA is bogus, because some of the best weight loss products out there have yet to be evaluated, but it is strikingly odd that a product “developed by the USDA” has not been evaluated by its sister organization.
