Nuphedra

NuphedraThe company behind Nuphedra sent us a box full of their newest formula “Nuphedra” for trial in Q4 of 2008.  We mailed them out to some of our volunteers, and here are 2  of their responses:

Nuphedra Log. Norman “Bear” G., Rhode Island.

11/7/2008.  6:45AM: 223lbs.  Began ‘Nuphedra’ regimen.  Effects are noticeable within 15-20 minutes.  Total loss of appetite, but forced a banana down for breakfast.  Took before lunch and experienced similar effects; no desire for usual trip to a quick lunch.  Once again, forced down a protein shake.

11/11/2008.  6:35 AM: 218lbs.  Lost 5 pounds.  Possible that is my normal fluctuation, but Nuphedra definitely responsible for at least two of those pounds.  Probably too soon to tell.  Bottle is ¼ way finished.

On a side note, I’m noticing I have more natural energy.  By that I mean, after the stimulants of Nuphedra die off in about 2-3 hours, I continue having energy.  Kind of a positive energy, like a shot of inspiration.  Maybe it’s the vitamin cocktail (6 vitamins).  Maybe it’s the Yohimbine.  I read that’s illegal in the UK and Australia.

11/19/2008.  Day 13, 7:15 AM: 212lbs.  11 pounds lost.  Day 09 and 11 I forgot to take my afternoon dose, but it appears Nuphedra is steadily shedding about plus or minus 0.9 pounds per day.  Thoroughly enjoy taking this product.  As if the weight loss is a secondary benefit, the primary being the ‘high’ that comes from the formula.  I haven’t noticed any negative side effects yet.  I read about the formula online and it looks like there may be some question.  Just when I find something I like, it looks like you may not be able to order it anymore.

Nuphedra Experience. Jayne Ann K, West Manchester, UK

November 21, 2008.  8:15 pm. Received Nuphedra.  Dose says 2 capsules 2-3 times daily.  I’m taking 2 times: once in the morning and once at lunch.  Will take tomorrow.

DAY 1 - November 22, 2008.  11:45 pm.  73.3 Kilos this morning, 72.8 kilos now.  Likely not Nuphedra, but could be.  My appetite was shot throughout the day, but no fatigue or unusual jitters.  I consumed between 1300 and 1450 calories (about 300 calories less than normal).

DAY 3 - November 24 10:25 pm.  71.1 Kilos.  Nuphedra is having a definite impact on my weight.  I remember losing this much weight when I trained to hike in the Alps, but I was at the gym 1-2 hours per day.  I don’t want to jinx it, but I’m really excited at the thought I could finally get back down to 60 kilos.

DAY 18 - December 8 11:34 am. 64.5 Kilos!  All’s I can say is it’s lucky my parents kept my clothes from high school in the basement, because nothing fits anymore!  Can’t believe I spent so much money on jeans, they’re worthless now.  It’s a real confidence booster when everyone you know keeps complimenting you, asking how you did it, comparing me to my sister (hee hee).  I really felt bad for her, because my aunt said, “Stand next to Jillian, Oh my! I barely recognize you anymore.”  There are at least 10 people waiting to order this stuff when it comes out (I won’t let anyone try it…it’s all mine!).

I have about 10 days left, and I was wondering if you wanted an extended trial?  I’d be highly interested in a 6 month program if you offer it?

Phenphedrine

Phenphedrine Review

“…stimulate the COCAINE AMPHETAMINE REGULATORY TRANSCRIPT…”

Sounds dangerous!  Don’t get scared away, it’s actually an anatomic feature you’re born with (read more about it here).  Essentially, CART is the chemical in your brain which tells your body you are full and your gastro-intestinal tract to begin digestion.

Basically, small amounts of CART are activated when you eat anything, but Phenphedrine kicks it into overdrive, artificially telling the body it’s just had Thanksgiving dinner.

NP-Y (Neuropeptite Y) is an amino acid your brain releases (neurotransmitter) which has been associated with stress and overeating.  The chemical blocks CART and other such chemicals which tell your brain to stop eating.  Studies have shown that in most cases of obesity there is an imbalance of NP-Y.  Phenphedrine uses a NP-Y inhibitor Chocamine (containing Tryptophan).

Bottom Line: Does Phenphedrine Work?

The science would say yes.  The makers of Phenphedrine were obviously attempting to use the latest research on What Makes People Over Weight by addressing CART and NP-Y neuro-chemicals.  It’s new and experimental, but preliminary customer satisfaction appears quite positive.

Liporexall

liporexallLiporexall Review

We’ve seen a steady trend in the diet pill industry shifting away from over-hype to science.  How are they doing this?  Patented ingredients.

To date, Liporexall is “King of the Patent Hill” boasting 12 patented ingredients.  The big question is:

“Will patented ingredients really help me lose weight?”

Excellent question.  The process for obtaining a patent in the US is arduous and expensive.  The average time from R&D to approval at the U.S. Patent Office is roughly 10 years, and with employees, laboratory fees, and patent lawyers, average cost for your first patent is $1,000,000.  Once your patent is approved however, you are free to make certifiable scientific claims.

FOR EXAMPLE: Super Citrimax by InterHealth Nutraceuticals can officially say: This product will help you lose weight and suppress your appetite. How can it say that?  It’s been verified by expensive double blind placebo controlled studies requisite for a patent.  So have all the other ingredients within Liporexall.

In comes the diet pill industry.  In the past 5 years, over 17 diet pill companies have been slapped by the FTC/FDA with hefty fines for false claims.  You can see why companies like Liporexall co. would be interested in using REAL claims from patented ingredients.

There are pros and cons of patented ingredients:  The Pro is the effectiveness of the product skyrockets.  The Con is on the manufacturer’s side: patented ingredients are EXPENSIVE.  And companies can’t charge more than $40 or $50 bucks, or people won’t buy it, so now their margins are getting thinner and thinner.

Through our contacts at various nutraceutical companies, we estimate the per bottle cost of Liporexall (for the manufacturer) is around $36.  That leaves $15 for marketing and overhead.  Not quite enough to make a big splash, but good news for the consumer: big bang for your buck.

Amazingly, they actually can legally say “This will help you lose 900% more fat.” How can they do that?  Because a study on 7-Keto DHEA showed the study group lost 900% more weight than the control group.

This product is new in 2009, so we’ll give Liporexall customer’s a year to give the final verdict, but it’s quite possible this product will rank in the Get Diet Solutions’ Top 3 in 2010.

You can find Liporexall here on the official site.
